OUR LEGACY

Phyllis taught us to feed people with love, dignity, and intention.

Phyllis’s kitchen was where our family learned more than recipes—we learned to show up for one another. With love in every meal, she set the standard for care, quality, and consistency, turning everyday cooking into a tradition that shaped who we are.

Today, Phylliss’s Home Cooking carries that legacy into schools, community partners, and busy homes. From institutional meals to brunch-to-go, Chef Carl, Chef Kamilah, and Cooking with Kids, we nourish people well and pass the knowledge forward—one table, many generations.

OUR FOUNDATION

The values Phyllis taught us—served in every meal

Love in every meal

We cook with care, intention, and respect—because food is how we show up for people, celebrate them, and help them feel seen.

Quality, every time

From ingredients to portions to packaging, we hold a consistent standard so families, partners, and institutions can count on every order.

Community & dignity

We serve with warmth and professionalism, meeting people where they are and making sure every table feels welcoming and worthy.

Tradition & knowledge

We protect family recipes while teaching the “why” behind them—so skills and stories pass forward through generations.

Led by our chefs

Chef Carl and Chef Kamilah carry the legacy with real-world experience, thoughtful menus, and hands-on leadership in the kitchen.

Cooking with Kids

We help children learn confidence, culture, and basic kitchen skills—turning cooking into a joyful lesson they’ll carry for life.
